Sandy and David bought a charming pool house in the Sydney suburb of Balgowlah.
The Pool House is a quaint home with a European feel. The front of the home is private and as you walk in the gate you’re greeted with a charming and welcoming courtyard. Despite Sandy insisting that the courtyard still needs some work… (A large European style trellis to be exact). We couldn’t help but feel like we had landed in a northern beaches sanctuary.
This is their Balgowlah Kitchen Renovation Journey…
The Brief
After purchasing their home last year, the first thing on Sandy and Dave’s to-do list was sourcing a Balgowlah kitchen renovation company. The first company offered outrageous quotes. The second and third companies gave inhospitable customer service. Not what you want for a project that’s going to last a few months. They went back to the drawing board…..UNTIL they happened to wander past The Kitchen House on their daily dog walk.
At the Kitchen House, they experienced down-to-earth customer service and friendly advice. Followed by a great in-home quote experience. Sandy and Dave knew they had found their right choice of Sydney kitchen renovation company.

Sandy recounts “During the renovation Keith, the project manager, was fastidious and amazing. Offering suggestions and drawing attention to aspects we didn’t think of. The contractors were superb and the demolition team top-notch”
“Dave was a perfectionist cabinet maker He is a craftsman at what he does.... Each contractor cleaning up as they went. They had good prices and excellent communication.”
The Result
Despite COVID-19 giving its best efforts to disturb the completion deadline, the project was a success (with the exception of some missing handles – arriving super late and eventually resolved).
“The kitchen house was fantastic, the trades are fantastic, they were very good. They made sure we were making the right choice. I would ring if I didn’t understand and no question was dumb. We are recommending them to everyone.”
Sandy and David now have a gleaming new Balgowlah Kitchen Renovation that matches their charming home and relaxed entertainment space.

When asked what the highlights were we would have put a fiver on the pantry but no…. we are firmly corrected….”The bench and the sink!” Pride of place the bold yet elegant marble benchtop stretches the length of the kitchen meaning they can prep both sides. It adds a warm statement to the the space. And the sink well it’s an Artinox ! A work of art that you get to use every day.
